You can meet your person in your 50s

As Amy & George both know, dating apps can bring some awful dates. :) But we started talking on one in mid-December 2024. Our first date was at Zoo Lights in Phoenix on Dec. 30. We walked the zoo admiring the lights and talked a lot while sitting on a bench, looking at a light and music show over the zoo pond.

Exactly one year later, George proposed to Amy sitting on that same bench. He's proud of himself that Amy did not see it coming.

On Dec. 30, 2025, we had a great day on Saguaro lake hiking, and then that night we went to Zoo Lights to celebrate our one-year dating anniversary. Amy had no clue a ring and proposal was coming. The look on Amy's face, the surprise and joy, I'll never forget.
